Street Volkswagen of Amarillo will be hosting their 4th Annual Car Show at the dealership on Saturday, October 1, 2016 beginning at 11am and
Amarillo, Texas, September 27, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Street Volkswagen of Amarillo will celebrate their three-year anniversary with their 4th Annual Car Show on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at their dealership on Soncy Road.
The celebrations will begin Saturday morning at 11am at Street Volkswagen located at 5000 South Soncy Road in Amarillo, Texas. The community is invited to the free event and are encouraged to participate for a chance to win prizes. Street Volkswagen will be cooking bratwursts, hamburgers and hot dogs. Participants in the show are asked to arrive between 10am and 11am to setup.
“Each year this event gets bigger and better and we cannot wait for this year’s show,” David Meraz, Marketing & PR Manager said. “We expect about 30 participants this year, that will be our best year ever.”
Although the official name of the car show is, “Calling All Slug Bugs,” anyone who owns any model of any Volkswagen vehicle is invited to participate.
“We’ve had several buses in the past participate and they love coming out and socializing with fellow Volkswagen fans,” John Luciano, General Manager said. “We’ve even had a couple of Things participate before.”
This year there are 20 different categories and trophies participants will have the chance to take home including: Best of Show and People’s Choice.
The band, ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,’ will be performing at noon. Other activities include face painting for kids and a snow cone stand.
